out of curiosity i google translated the kids name and ringo’s killed me. the kanji for ‘ringo’ as it’s spelled on wiki translates to ‘apple’. NOOOOOOOOOOOO. TOO MUCH. and then added to that there the fact that her name also easily makes you think of rings — the spinning rings — and it’s
all the worst.

oh lol yes the names are conundrums in themselves; ringo means apple, momoka means pear, shouma’s derives from the kanji of crystal, kanba’s derives from the kanji of fire (as well as crown), but all characters are actually references/puns to famous characters from ikuhara’s previous work/collaborations.
also, ringo is also used as an argot in japanese, for any client entity you do not want to mention by name, such as the government and so forth. it is also a reference to the financial jargon used by the japanese as a method of transfer by lawyers and bankers, much like “bible” in english.
kiga can also be translated kanji by kanji, as jinchou, the first kanji being “human” and the second kanji being “bird”.
